When it comes to shoes for the office, I’m not that particular about the brand. I may be fussy about the design but it doesn’t have to be overly expensive. The main thing is it fits my feet well and comfortable enough for office wear. Gone are the days of wearing really high heeled shoes. After having a kid, the last thing I want to do is to strain my back. Skinny, pointed heels are a no-no for me. The heel has to be thick and not more than 3 inches high.
Everyone has a favourite pair of shoe and mine would be this U.R.S and Inc shoe I bought 3 years ago. There’s nothing fancy or unique about the shoe but it’s so comfortable to wear. Even after long walks, my feet won’t easily get tired. I like it so much that until today, I wear it to the office. It does look a bit worn-out but I really don’t care.
Little did I know that someone else would like the shoe as well.
I was accompanying a friend to a shoe store one day and it was the day when I wore my U.R.S shoe. While waiting for my friend, I thought I’d try on a few pairs as well. So, I took my shoes off, put it aside and went on to try some shoes. Somewhere nearby, an Arab lady was also busy looking out for shoes. It wasn’t hard to notice her because she had like a billion shopping bags in her hands. Anyway, what really caught my attention was when she suddenly went on to try out my shoe. Yes, my shoe! I was so surprised that I didn’t know whether to laugh or to tell her off. She then carried on walking to the mirror and checked herself out with MY shoe! What I found bizarre was that a) my shoe does not at all look new, b) its not even placed on the shelves. I just chucked it on the floor.
So, why on earth would she want to try out that shoe??
Me: Excuse me, that’s my shoe you’re trying out
Arab lady: What? Oh sorry, sorry..I didn’t know
Me: Gave an irritated look. It’s ok
Arab lady: You have nice shoe
Me: I know (smiled and walked off)
When you think about it, it’s actually kind of funny. Oh well, at least I know my 3-year old shoe still looks very much desirable :)

Hi ya....when it comes to shoes..I go for comfy ones..not so much on the brand and the price. Coz at the age of 30 something I would rather have a feet which will last me for a loong time...wldnt wanna sacrifice my feet for fashion and style..

Ha ha ha! That is indeed funny. At least that rab lady confirmed that you have chosen well, and after 3 years you certainly have taken good care of your shoes for the pair not to look completely beat up.

Its really amazing that you have a pair of shoes that has lasted you for 3 years ... wish I could make mine last that long. Anyways I had a favourite pair of shoes, actually it was men's shoes, but it felt so nice and comfy that I decided to get it for myself ... sad to say I could not enjoy a long lasting relationship with it coz it got stolen.
am not good about shoes but my father is. dalam setahun dia beli lebih dari 12 pasang ... all leather and branded. so this is the trick, me and my brother will go to his place and take one pair each. us brothers are so smart one ... hehehehe, we are oing tomorrow for the mission ... hehehe

Shoes - my favourite topic. After years of killing my back with high heels, I finally decided to go low. Now that I live in a colder climate, I am so excited when spring, autumn and winter comes. I got a chance to wear boots! Love those boots. Boots crazy.
It is true what you told Lady Patsy, when you love that one pair of shoe, you take good care of it.
If someone can mistake your shoes for something that just came off the shelves, that pair must be looking extremely good. :)

You're right, I don't want to suffer wearing high heels anymore. Too much pain to bear! Anyway, about my shoes, seriously, it doesn't at all look brand new. Thats why I was so amazed when the lady went to try it on :)
